Two Eldon women were injured in a three-vehicle accident at 11:15 a.m. Friday, May 24 in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alma M. Duncan was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima west on Route 52, 1,050 feet west of Hope Road, when she stopped to make a left turn. Michael S. Boyland, 54, of Barnett, was driving a westbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and failed to slow down. Boyland’s vehicle began to skid and struck the rear of Duncan’s car. The collision caused Duncan’s vehicle to cross the center of Route 52 and strike the rear quarter panel of an eastbound 2022 Ram 1500 driven by 41-year-old Joseph S. Hill, of Stover.
Duncan and a passenger in her vehicle, 79-year-old Barbara J. Duncan, were taken by private vehicle to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor and moderate injuries, respectively.
The report indicates all drivers and Barbara Duncan were wearing seat belts.
A Warrensburg man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 9:40 p.m. Friday, May 24 in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Devon M. Bruce, 27, was driving a 2023 Toyota north on Route 7, south of Summit Drive, when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
Bruce, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by air EMS to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
An Independence man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:39 p.m. Friday, May 24 in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Edilbert O. Xiloj, 39, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet south on U.S. Highway 65, north of Muddy Creek, when he traveled off the roadway and his vehicle struck an embankment. It then became airborne and traveled across the highway, struck the ground and overturned.
Xiloj, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.
MSHP was assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, May 25 in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James D. Smith, 50, was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson west on Northwest 100th Road at Route VV when he traveled off the roadway and his vehicle overturned.
Smith, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg with minor injuries.
A Versailles woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, May 26 in Morgan County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Deanna D. Shuster, 80, of Lincoln, was driving a 2018 GMC 3500 west on Route 52 at South Nebo Road when she attempted to pass a southbound 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by 67-year-old Michael R. Letchworth, of Versailles, as he was making a left turn.
A passenger in Letchworth’s vehicle, 59-year-old Sheila M. Letchworth, was taken by Mid-MO Ambulance District to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with minor injuries.
The report indicates both drivers and Sheila Letchworth were wearing seat belts.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jerry W. Hollingsworth, 46, of Belton, was driving a Polaris RZR south on Berry Bend Avenue, south of Route Z, when the vehicle began skidding and overturned.
Hollingsworth and a passenger, 54-year-old Paul D. McGrew, of Raymore, were both flown via air ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
The report indicates neither was using a safety device.
