A Deepwater man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gerald Stocklaufer, 70, was driving a 2008 Polaris Sport 500 north in the 1000 block of Southeast Highway NN and towing a pickup truck with a log chain. The truck struck the rear of the Polaris, causing it to overturn and Stocklaufer was ejected.
Stocklaufer, who was not using a safety device, was taken by Golden Valley ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
