Warrensburg man hurt in Johnson crash

A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2 a.m. Saturday, May 27 in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cody J. Brandt, 33, was driving a 1997 Ford Thunderbird south on state Route 13 at 1000th Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Brandt was taken by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for minor injuries. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Teen seriously injured in UTV crash

A 14-year-old male from Sweet Springs sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 28 in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 14-year-old was driving a 2010 Arctic Cat Prowler UTV south in the 18000 block of 145th Trail when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned, ejecting the driver.

The teen, who was not using a safety device, was taken by Life Flight to Children’s Mercy.

Kingsville man seriously injured Johnson accident

A Kingsville man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 6:08 p.m. Sunday, May 28 in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David J. Huddleston, 53, was driving a 2012 Honda TRX420 Rancher west in the 200 block of west Atlantic Avenue when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Huddleston, who was exempt from using a safety device, was taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

MSHP was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Johnson County Fire Protection District and JCAD.

Child hurt in Morgan bicycle accident

A 5-year-old male from Camdenton sustained moderate injuries in an accident at 4:58 p.m. Sunday, May 28 in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 16-year-old female from Imperial was driving a 2002 Ez-Go golf cart west in the 16000 block of P Road when she struck the 5-year-old as he was riding a Jetson bicycle eastbound. The bicyclist was ejected.

The 5-year-old was taken by MU Aircare to University Hospital in Columbia.

The report indicates the bicyclist was wearing a helmet but the golf cart driver was not using a safety device.
