Motorcyclist injured in Clinton Road crash

Robert Eckstrom, of Sedalia, was injured at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday in a Sedalia accident.

According to a Sedalia Police Department injury traffic report, an eastbound 2018 Nissan Altima driven by Kortney Kreisler, of Sedalia, made a left turn into the path of a westbound 2015 Harley-Davidson driven by Eckstrom, colliding with it at West 32nd Street and Clinton Road.

Eckstrom was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Pettis County Ambulance District.

Driver injured in 16th Street rollover crash

The Sedalia Police Department reports a driver suffered serious injuries and was transported after an accident at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday near West 16th Street and Thompson Boulevard.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the 2700 block of West 16th Street in reference to a rollover crash after a westbound 2016 Nissan Versa left the right side of the roadway, traveled through business frontage, and collided with the Pittsburgh Corning building. The impact caused the Nissan to rotate and overturn, coming to rest on its top.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

South Limit traffic pile-up sees two treated on scene

Corey Bolling, of Sedalia, and Shelby Bumgarner, of Lincoln, both sustained minor injuries at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday and were treated on scene after a pile-up on South Limit Avenue.

According to a Sedalia Police Department injury traffic report, a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Taras Timoshuk, of Cole Camp, was northbound on South Limit Avenue when it struck the rear of a 2015 Chevrolet Spark driven by Bolling. This caused Bolling's vehicle to hit the rear of a 2022 Ford Explorer driven by Bumgarner.

Warsaw man hurt in Benton accident

Larry L. Darnell, 66, of Warsaw, sustained minor injuries at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Darnell was driving a 2003 Ford F150 north on U.S. Highway 65, north of the Dam Access Road, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a MoDOT sign, traveled to the opposite lanes of U.S. 65 and off the west side of the roadway, and struck a tree.

Darnell was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia.

Sedalia motorcyclist in serious condition after accident

Alex B. Schwinke, 27, of Sedalia, sustained serious injuries at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Toyota Prius driven by Sabin N. Czajak, 18, of Sedalia, south on U.S. Highway 65 entered into the turn lane, failed to yield and struck a 2004 Yamaha V Star motorcycle driven north by Schwinke, who was ejected.

Schwinke was wearing a helmet and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia.
