Deepwater man killed in Henry County motorcycle accident

Thomas R. Malloy, 51, of Deepwater, was killed, and April A. Sturgeon, 29, of Osceola, received minor injuries at 10:27 p.m. Wednesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Malloy was driving a 2009 Kawasaki south on Southwest 701 Road when he failed to stop at a T-intersection and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle overturned and the driver and passenger were ejected.

Malloy was pronounced dead by Dr. N. Greigo and was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center by Golden Valley EMS. Sturgeon was transported by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. Neither passenger was wearing a helmet.

Sedalians hospitalized after Highway 50 mishap

Marjorie R. Allee, 87, of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries and Doreen Burnett, 80, of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Olumwaranti A. Omowami, 37, of Warrensburg, stopped in the right lane of U.S. Highway 50 to make a turn and was struck in the rear by a 2014 Toyota Prius driven by Allee.

Both injured women were wearing seat belts and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by the Johnson County Ambulance District.
