Crossroads Hospice seeks volunteers

Posted

Now that many volunteer opportunities are back (most masked or vaccinated), organizations like Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care in Kansas City are seeking positive, energetic and compassionate volunteers.

Volunteers provide direct comfort, companionship and a helping hand to terminally ill patients and their families in their homes, assisted living facilities and nursing facilities. Whether it be running errands for a patient, sharing in favorite activities or just providing company, the role of a Crossroads volunteer is both needed and fulfilling. This is a chance to bring one’s interests and talents to the forefront and to share them with others.

Administrative volunteer assignments in the office are also available.

All first-time volunteers are provided with ample support, including a training program and regular feedback. A Crossroads Volunteer Manager always accompanies a volunteer on every first patient visit.

Volunteers can be as young as 16. Students are welcome to apply.

For more information about volunteering at Crossroads, contact the respective Volunteer Manager below for your area or visit crossroadshospice.com/volunteering.
