Center for Human Services (CHS) invites the community to celebrate the season at Bloom Beyond during its Fall Sales, happening now through Oct. 31 at the greenhouse located at 1500 ½ Ewing Drive in Sedalia.
Visitors can shop for a variety of seasonal fall items, including pumpkins, mums, flowers and more. Fall Sales are open Wednesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Each purchase supports the continued growth of Bloom Beyond and its focus on creating opportunities for inclusive learning, skill development and community involvement. Formerly known as Bloomin Gardens, the greenhouse was originally gifted to CHS by the Mason Family and has a longstanding history within the organization and Sedalia community. Following a period of closure, CHS recognized an opportunity to revitalize the greenhouse and reintroduced it as Bloom Beyond earlier this year, renewing the space with a focus on cultivating plants, empowering people and creating meaningful community connections.
Bloom Beyond is rooted in CHS’s mission to help people live Life Beyond Limitations and is being developed as a space where individuals of all abilities, across CHS programs and the broader community, can learn, engage and thrive. The initiative will focus on sustainable practices, skill building, and community involvement. While programming is still developing, future plans include plant-focused educational classes, hands-on activities, and opportunities designed to meet the interests and needs of participants.
Community members are encouraged to stop by Bloom Beyond throughout the fall season to shop seasonal favorites while supporting the continued development of a space designed to bring people together.
