Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 23 with a trip to Kansas CIty with their children.
Virgie and Bill were married at noon Dec. 23, 1950, in the home of a local pastor. They had a double wedding with Virgie’s best friend Jean.
Mr. Jackson served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1973. He then worked for Computer Services and Parkhurst Manufacturing Co.
Mrs. Jackson retired in 1994 as a medical assistant. She worked at Four Seasons Living Center, Bothwell Regional Health Center and for several doctor’s offices.
The couple has three children, Sandi Clark, Vicki Jackson and Chuck Jackson; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all living in the Kansas City area.
The couple will celebrate more after the first of the year.
