The case of a Sedalia Police officer who shot and killed a local man earlier this summer has been investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, which has turned the case over to the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
At 6:18 p.m. Sunday, May 29, the Sedalia Police Department got a call of an armed man at a home on West Broadway Boulevard.
Mason T. Moore, 22, of Sedalia, was facing a five-year stint in prison for a felony parole violation, among other warrants. As Moore fled from police, they claim he shot at officers, who returned fire, killing him in a vacant lot off Broadway.
The prosecutor’s office will now review the case to determine if charges should be filed.
