This week there were 796 PCR tests and 451 antigen tests. Based on analysis of local data, there were 58 positive cases in June and 601 positive cases in July.

The Pfizer vaccine has received full FDA approval as of Aug. 20. The briefing states Pettis County has vaccinated approximately 37.7% of the population with at least one dose. According to the state website, 15,946 Pettis County residents have received one dose and 13,539 are considered fully vaccinated, which is approximately 32% of the population.

Pettis County is falling behind the state rate of 51% with at least one dose and 44% fully vaccinated. The state is reporting 61.2% of the population older than 18 has at least one dose of vaccine and 52.9% are fully vaccinated. For Pettis County, 46.6% of the population 18 and older has at least one dose and 41% are fully vaccinated.

The briefing states the percentages are slightly different this week because the population of 12-17-year-olds who are vaccinated is increasing and those numbers are now reported separately.
