Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies encountered gunfire over the weekend.
Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders reported Sunday night, May 19 that deputies were dispatched to Sadie Lane near Dresden for a disturbance; his announcement did not include a time or date. Upon arrival, five shots were fired from the residence as deputies approached the front door.
Deputies reportedly took cover and backup arrived from surrounding counties including Missouri State Highway Patrol, Park Rangers and the Sedalia Police Department.
A suspect was taken into custody without further incident and there were no reported injuries.
