Pettis County reports COVID deaths for second time this week

Pettis County added only 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday but also reported more deaths for the second time this week.

This brings the total number of cases to 3,671, according to the Pettis County Health Center.

There are now 858 active cases and 2,774 residents have been released to normal activity. Twenty-two residents are now hospitalized seeking treatment for the virus. The Health Center also reported two more COVID-related deaths, bringing the county’s total to 39.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 22,995 cases on Wednesday or an average of 3,279 per day. There were a total of 71 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of 10 deaths per day.
