Pettis County added 28 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,826, according to the Pettis County Health Center.
There are now 644 active cases and 3,135 residents have been released to normal activity. Twenty-four residents are now hospitalized seeking treatment for the virus. The Health Center also reported five additional COVID deaths, bringing the county’s total to 47.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 19,665 cases on Wednesday or an average of 2,809 per day. There were a total of 109 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of 16 deaths per day.
