This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
1:19 a.m.: Zoe E. Etherton, 24, of Independence, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and Granny Lane for driving with a suspended license and speeding. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. The driver had a suspended license from out of state. He was placed under arrest and released roadside with citations.
12:27 a.m.: Christina Marie Langley, 52, of the 1400 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested in the 800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for driving while intoxicated-alcohol. An officer stopped a driver for driving with no lights on. The driver was intoxicated and she was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending release to a sober person.
4:22 a.m.: Shannon W. Cramer, 21, of Warsaw, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Mitchell Road for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and speeding. Officers conducted a traffic stop for a driver exceeding the speed limit. After an investigation, the driver was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
3:34 p.m.: Officers responded to Horace Mann Elementary, 1100 W. 16th St., for a hit-and-run accident. Officers spoke with the victim and gathered information for a report. The suspect had not been identified at the time of the report.
12:21 p.m.: An officer spoke with a victim in the SPD lobby who reported their money was stolen at a business in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
9:15 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of East 18th Street for a trespassing and assault.
3:56 p.m.: Deputies conducted a traffic stop at West 16th Street and South Harrison Avenue on a vehicle with no license plates. During the stop, K9 Cav alerted to the odor of narcotics. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and multiple bags of a crystal substance and drug paraphernalia were located. All of the items tested positive for methamphetamine. Both occupants were placed under arrest. The front seat passenger, Brianna Crabb, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Kyle Henley, was also transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:31 p.m.: Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. Highway 65 and Honda Road on a vehicle with a defective license plate light. K9 Lord alerted to the odor of narcotics. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, deputies located around 41 pills in the vehicle, all of which were a controlled substance. The driver, Kelsie Bradford, of Lincoln, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released on two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
1:45 p.m.: Charity R. Dixon, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for felony possession of a controlled substance. Dixon was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
1:45 p.m.: Bennett T. Neely, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for felony possession of a controlled substance. Neely was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
