This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 27

6:38 p.m.: Marvin M. Caal Choc, 21, of the 1200 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near Main Street and Park Avenue for a moving violation. He had no valid driver's license and one prior conviction. He was transported to the police station, fingerprinted and released with a citation for driving without a driver's license.

9:52 p.m.: Michelle D. Petty, 43, of Green Ridge, was arrested after a vehicle stop on State Fair Boulevard north of West Broadway Boulevard for no tail lights. Petty was intoxicated by drugs and in possession of drug paraphernalia and psychedelic mushrooms. She was arrested, transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving while intoxicated-drugs, possession of psilocybin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 31

2:01 a.m.: Keith Allen Lybarger, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to a business in the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a domestic disturbance. Lybarger was located nearby, transported to the Pettis County Jail, and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of third-degree domestic assault, first-degree property damage, second-degree kidnapping and resisting arrest.

11:37 p.m.: Yamin Antonio Centeno Gomez, 42, of the 1000 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Fifth Street and Lafayette Avenue for indicators of impaired driving, failing to signal and failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. Gomez was intoxicated and was placed under arrest and taken to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated.

April 1

4:21 a.m.: Pablo Caal Choc, 34, of the 1300 block of East 12th Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South State Fair Boulevard for failing to stop at a stoplight. He had a suspended driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving with a suspended license.

4:03 p.m.: Jessica L Griffin, 36, of the 2900 block of James Road, was arrested after a traffic stop at the intersection of South Grand Avenue and Clinton Road. She had a revoked driver's license and a search found drug paraphernalia. Griffin was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

April 2

12:21 a.m.: April Diane Norman, 43, of the 2800 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue for improper lane usage and no plates. Norman was intoxicated by drugs and methamphetamine was located in her car. She had meth concealed on her person and attempted to dispose of it in the back of the patrol car but was unsuccessful. Norman introduced meth into the police station and refused to provide a blood sample, so a search warrant was obtained. She assaulted two law enforcement officers during the collection and was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of driving while intoxicated - drugs, and felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, introducing drugs into a jail facility, and two counts of third-degree assault on law enforcement.

8:43 a.m.: David Alexander Gonzalez Juarez, 24, of the 1200 block of East Sixth Street, was arrested after officers responded in reference to a physical disturbance. The reporting party stated she'd been assaulted by a man known to her. Juarez was arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

Incidents

March 28

3:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft. $1,750 worth of items were stolen from the business. A suspect has not been identified.

March 31

4:54 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of South Prospect Avenue in reference to a vehicle theft. The victim reported his blue 2006 Toyota Sienna was stolen from his residence, where it had been left running with the keys inside. The vehicle was entered as stolen.

2:26 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Park Avenue in reference to a fraud report. The reporting party stated her disability deposit was never made. No suspects have been identified.

3:34 p.m.: Officers responded to Skyline Elementary, 2505 W. 32nd St., in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The reporting party stated her vehicle was hit in the parking lot while she was inside the school. A suspect has not been identified.

4:42 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of East 14th Street in reference to a possible disturbance. Officers made contact with both sides. One of the subjects was reported to have assaulted the other. The case was referred to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office. No arrests were made.

7:54 p.m.: A victim reported his cell phone was stolen while in the 800 block of West 16th Street. His cell phone had a value of $1,000.

11:40 p.m.: Officers met at the police department lobby with a party in reference to a previous theft report from the 1500 block of Washington Avenue. The party stated an assortment of items was stolen from his vehicle. No suspects have been identified.

April 1

2:12 a.m.: A car was stopped for speeding and failing to signal near West 10th Street and Thompson Boulevard. The driver was in possession of an unidentified pill, which was seized for testing. Charges may be sought pending the analysis results.

10 a.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1100 block of Wisconsin Avenue in reference to a theft report. $1,913 worth of items was stolen from the building. A report was made of the incident, and no suspects have been located.

April 2

1:46 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the Missouri State Fair Fire Department, 2503 W. 16th St., for a report of a burglary. The reporting party stated someone stole $900 worth of property and caused $2,000 in damages. A suspect was identified but has not been contacted for questioning.

3:36 p.m.: Officers took a report in reference to a theft that occurred at a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The value of the items taken was $300. No suspects have been identified.

Arrests

March 31

9:45 p.m.: Miguel L. Herrera, of La Monte, was arrested after the Pettis County K-9 unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Pine and Chestnut in La Monte on a vehicle with no front license plate. The driver fled and deputies pursued to the area of Mason and Garrison, where the driver fled on foot but was arrested a short time later. Deputies have requested charges of felony resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving, no front license plate, and failure to register a motor vehicle.

April 2

2:10 a.m.: Alden J. Harding, of the 2000 block of Twin Pines Drive, was arrested after deputies and a K-9 unit were dispatched in reference to a physical disturbance. Harding was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Arrests

April 1

12:53 a.m.: Michelle L. Dortch, 58, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and a lane violation. She was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.

April 2

10:23 p.m.: Jason T. Galvin, 41, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to have two lighted headlamps. He was released.
