This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
10:16 a.m.: Nathaniel Austin Shipman, 28, of the 300 block of McAnally Court, was arrested regarding an ongoing investigation of a shooting that occurred Aug. 18. Shipman was transported to the Pettis County Jail and held for 24 hours pending charges of second-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree property damage.
9:52 a.m.: Officers took a fraud report in the police department lobby from a woman who said her bank account was accessed and multiple online purchases were made through Xbox. A suspect has not been identified at this time.
6:59 p.m.: An officer responded to the 800 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of a hit-and-run accident. The victim reported her vehicle was struck while parked in the lot of a local business. Video evidence of the incident is being sought.
