Dec. 14
10:30 p.m.: Officers responded to the 900 block of East 16th Street for a report of child abuse. Ruthanna P. Hardwick, 37, of the 1000 block of South Center Avenue, was arrested for abuse or neglect of a child, second-degree property damage and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
11:20 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped on East Broadway Boulevard at South Marshall Avenue for swerving and crossing the lines of the roadway. Alla V. Mishchuk, 34, of West Fifth Street, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Dec. 15
10:26 a.m.: A traffic stop was performed on a vehicle for a license plate showing not-on-file and was found to be expired in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue. Steven D. Alverson Jr., 30, of the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
7:37 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped on East Third Street at South Massachusetts Avenue for the vehicle’s plate light and brake light being out and having expired plates. The driver was found in possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Levi G. Markes, 30, of Houstonia, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:57 p.m.: Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Ohio Avenue and East Seventh Street for a license violation. The driver of the vehicle had a revoked license and was in the possession of marijuana. Robert P. Bower, 35, of the 300 block of East Second Street, was arrested for driving with a revoked license and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
11:41 p.m.: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for disobeying a stop sign on West 18th Street at South Missouri Avenue. Alla V. Mishchuk, 34, of West Fifth Street, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
