This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 16

9:50 p.m.: Adam C. Shephard, 31, of the 400 block of East Second Street, was arrested in the 3500 block of Green Ridge Road for second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, stealing, and first-degree trespassing. An officer was dispatched to the area of 3500 Snyder Road for a report of a subject jumping the fence into the nearby storage units. One suspect was located and arrested in the fenced-in area of the storage units.

Dec. 17

5:31 a.m.: James D. Kohrs, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 600 block of South Ohio Avenue for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Contact was made with a subject digging through a dumpster at a business. He was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

4:07 p.m.: Tina M. Powen, 50, of the 1800 block of East 14th Street, and Tammie Adams, 50, of the 600 block of West Seventh Street, were issued a municipal court summons at Powen’s residence for private peace disturbance. Officers responded to the address for a disturbance report. Contact was made with two subjects who both said the other assaulted them and wanted to pursue charges. Both subjects were arrested and issued a summons.

Dec. 18

2:10 a.m.: Jacob D. Driskell, 31, of the 100 block of East Saline Street, was arrested near the intersection of West 11th Street and South Grand Avenue for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Dec. 17

12:39 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1800 block of East 14th Street for a disturbance. During the investigation, a firearm valued at $500 was reported stolen.

1:45 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1500 block of West Broadway Boulevard for an assault. Two subjects had gotten into a fight over something that occurred at school. A primary aggressor was identified and charges are being requested for third-degree domestic assault. No arrest was made at that time due to the suspect being transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

9:46 p.m.: Salome A. Aquino, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a single lane.
