This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Dec. 18

3:15 p.m.: Kyle Wayne Wissmann, 34, of the 1000 block of East Third Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop at East Fifth Street and South Brown Avenue for expired vehicle registration. Wissman was also found to have revoked driving status and was transported to the police station for processing. He was issued citations for driving with a revoked driver's license and no proof of insurance. 

Dec. 19

7:37 p.m.: Elijah Ruben Lopez, 20, of Warrensburg, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Missouri Avenue for careless driving and no plate lights. It was determined Lopez was intoxicated by drugs and a search revealed an amount of drugs consistent with distribution. A firearm was also found. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while intoxicated - drugs - prior offender, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a weapon. 

Incidents

Dec. 19

9:24 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant stated that overnight Saturday, someone stole a blue 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 valued at $7,500. There are no suspects. 

1:36 p.m.: Officers took a report in reference to a stolen phone. The phone was believed to have been stolen Dec. 15 at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The value of the phone was estimated at approximately $500. No suspects have been identified. 

2:22 p.m.: Officers took a report of fraud in the 600 block of East 10th Street. The reporting party stated that an individual took money from her through a fake online Facebook account. The suspect has not been identified. 

2:53 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 600 block of South Ohio Avenue in reference to a theft report. The reporting party stated a male subject came into the store and left with a leather jacket without paying for it. The suspect has not been identified. 

3:48 p.m.: The Sedalia Police Department responded to a theft report in the 200 block of East 19th Street. The victim reported that a set of five rims and a tire valued at $500 were stolen. The suspects are not known at this time. 

Dec. 20

2:24 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a drug offense. The reporting party stated he was checking out and located a small baggie he believed to be an illegal substance. Officers field-tested the substance, which tested positive for meth and Fentanyl. It was seized for evidence. There are no suspects.

Dec. 19

9:50 p.m.: Madison C. Fuller, 18, of Liberty, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, speeding, and no insurance. She was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
