This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is

taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements

from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 12

9:24 a.m.: Sarah E. Gerloff, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a subject flagged down an officer in the 400 block of East Boonville Street. The subject stated his child's mother just took his child. The subject stated she had been drinking all night and his son was not properly buckled in the vehicle. The suspect was located in the area of Saline Street and Engineer Avenue where a traffic stop was conducted. The subject was believed to be intoxicated and was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for further investigation. Pending the filing of the state charges, the suspect was to be held until she was sober.

11:30 p.m.: Joshua Wayne Dickson, 22, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons for leaving the scene of an accident near South Grand Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. One of the parties involved in the accident left the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The suspect, Dixon, was later identified and issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.  

Feb. 13

9:20 a.m.: Debra K. Kirk, 60, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons after an officer responded to the 1600 block of West Third Street regarding a disturbance. After investigation at the scene, Kirk was issued a summons for domestic assault. 

10:17 a.m.: Ronald J. Blum, 56, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons after officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of West Third Street in reference to a disturbance. One party claimed the other party hit them. The suspect was issued a summons for assault. 

10:44 p.m.: Jose Luis Herrera Aguilar Jr., 23, of Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop for driving while suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He was released pending a state charge of driving while suspended.

11:06 p.m.: Salomon Romero, 56, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard after a traffic stop for failure to remain in his lane and nearly causing an accident. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated, and he was arrested. The suspect was later transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw. Romero was then returned to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released to a sober individual. A request for a charge of driving while intoxicated has been submitted to the prosecutor.

11:24 p.m.: Rodney D. Bellew, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested after his vehicle stopped near the Veterans Memorial Drive and West Saline Street for traveling 35 in a 25 mile per hour zone. After an investigation, it was discovered the driver was driving while suspended and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges.

Feb. 14

2:12 a.m.: Tobey Yvette Cole, 40, of Sedalia, and Brian Eugene Tripp, 33, of Sedalia, were arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 14th Street for a registration violation. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the two occupants were found in possession of methamphetamine. The suspects were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. The suspects were placed on 24-hour holds pending state charges for drug possession.

2:15 a.m.: Patrick Shane McGuire, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop after a red Chevy pickup was observed speeding on West Broadway Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. McGuire consented to a blood draw and was transported to BRHC for the blood draw. He was then transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released to a sober driver. A request for charge of driving while intoxicated has been submitted to the prosecutor.

3:40 a.m.: Donley A. Maldonado, 39, of Warrensburg, was arrested after officers responded to a business in the 300 block of South Lamine Avenue. Maldonado was reportedly sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle and was arrested. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 12-hour protective hold. Charges are being submitted to the prosecutor for driving while intoxicated.

Feb. 15

12:41 p.m.: Harold Williams, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for expired registration. The driver was arrested after a search of the driver discovered illegal drugs. Charges have been submitted for possession of opium/cocaine and operating without a valid license.

Incidents

Feb. 12

7:46 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Lewis Circle for a report of nude photos disseminated through social media. The case is under investigation.

Feb. 13

8:50 p.m.: Officers took a stolen vehicle report regarding a vehicle the victim loaned to another subject. The victim told the suspect to return the vehicle, but they have failed to do so. The vehicle was entered as stolen.
