This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 18

8:59 p.m.: Maria Trinidad Rubio Leon, 29, of the 900 block of East 14th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near North Grand Avenue and West Henry Street. Leon was driving with a revoked driver's license - third offense, and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released pending formal charges.

Incidents

Jan. 5

5:12 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Heck Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. The victim said overnight, someone hit their vehicle and left without providing any information.

Jan. 13

4:04 p.m.: A complainant in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported that a person known to her tried to get money owed to them. The person threatened the complainant and yelled at her in front of her child. The complainant did not know the name of the person but knew the suspect’s alias and wished to press charges.

Jan. 16

5:15 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard for the report of one driver chasing another. Police arrived, secured the scene, and gathered enough information to generate a report. No suspect has been identified.

Jan. 18

7:45 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to East Third Street and South Engineer Avenue in reference to damage to the Union Pacific Railroad crossing. A stop arm was found to have been struck and spun around. There are no suspects.

7:05 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Rebar Road regarding a hit-and-run accident. They gathered the necessary information to complete a report.

Incidents

Jan. 18

10:41 a.m.: Deputies took a report for the theft of money in the 36000 block of Oxline Road in Pettis County. The investigation continues.

4:38 p.m.: Deputies took a report of a stolen four-wheeler in the 28,000 block of Carpenter Road in Smithton. The investigation continues.

Arrests

Jan. 18

2:52 p.m.: Amanda L. Schupp, 38, of Osage Beach, was arrested in Morgan County for a Camden County felony warrant, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail.
