This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Jan. 18

6:31 p.m.: Ashley Nicole Meyrose, 39, of the 2300 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers responded to the 1300 block of East 11th Street for a disturbance in progress. Meyrose had fled the scene, but officers conducted an investigation and were able to identify her and issue a citation for destruction of non-city property.

Jan. 19

1031 p.m.: Mason Harms, 18, of Cole Camp, was issued a summons after officers were dispatched to a business in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. An employee of the store was stealing lottery tickets. Harms was issued a court summons for stealing.

Jan. 22

9:50 p.m.: Jason Dean Homan, 22, of the 300 block of East Saline Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop at Depp Street and Jackson Road for moving violations and suspected intoxicated driving. Homan was intoxicated by drugs and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released for driving while intoxicated - drugs.

Jan. 23

4:05 a.m.: Larry J. Allen, 61, of the 24000 block of Liberty School Road, was arrested after a vehicle stop for no plate lights at East 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. The truck also had expired plates. Allen was found to be intoxicated by drugs and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a state charge of felony driving while intoxicated - drugs.

7:58 p.m.: Jeremiah Jones, 42, of Mora, was arrested after an officer responded to the 1900 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a possible trespassing. Jones was sitting in his car on the property and had been issued a trespass warning last week for the same address. He was issued a citation for trespassing and released from the scene.

10:16 p.m.: Cheyanne M. Wiser, 21, of the 600 block of East 16th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. She was transported to the Sedalia Police Department and released with a summons for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Jan. 23

9:06 a.m.: An officer made contact with the victim in the 400 block of East Second Street regarding her vehicle being stolen. The officer was informed by dispatch that the vehicle had been involved in an accident the previous evening and was towed. The victim was notified of the location her vehicle had been towed. There are no suspects.
