This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
7:17 p.m.: Marcus Dewayne Bowens Jr., 35, of the 400 block of Albright Court, was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance. It was determined Bowens was involved and left in a vehicle after drinking. He drove to a church near the police department and walked into the station. He was intoxicated and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
4:57 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue for a hit-and-run collision in the parking lot. They collected information and investigated.
5:04 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to property damage that had just occurred. They contacted the reporting party, who provided information for a report.
10:37 a.m.: A destruction of property report was taken in the lobby of the police department from the 400 block of East Seventh Street. The reporting party states a neighbor came to their door, punched it, and caused damage to the property. The reporting party does not wish to pursue charges at this time.
10:54 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of West 16th Street for a burglary report. They collected evidence and information for a report.
