This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 12

156 a.m.: Wallace N. Harry, 20, of Knob Noster, was arrested after a traffic stop for a vehicle observed trespassing at South Washington Avenue and East Main Street. Harry was intoxicated, transported to the police department and issued a uniform traffic ticket for driving while intoxicated.

March 14

1:33 a.m.: Gregory A. Franklin, 47, of Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop at South Lamine Avenue and East Seventh Street for no front registration and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. Franklin was intoxicated, and in a search of the vehicle, a firearm Franklin is prohibited from possessing was seized. He was transported to the police department for driving while intoxicated - prior offender and unlawful possession of a firearm.

March 16

1:57 a.m.: Tyler Parker Woodington, 26, of the 5300 block of Pin Oak Lane, was arrested after a traffic stop at West Broadway Boulevard and Industrial Road in a vehicle not displaying a front registration plate. Woodington was intoxicated and was transported to the police department for driving while intoxicated and released to a sober driver.

11:00 p.m.: Walter Jack Staten Jr., 32, of the 400 block of North Park Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to the SPD lobby for a property damage call. They gathered information and generated a report. Later in the evening, they made contact with Staten, who was issued a summons for property damage.

March 17

3:50 a.m.: John Glenn Fizer, 33, of Mora, was arrested after speeding on South Limit Avenue and West 32nd Street. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving with a suspended license.

March 15

12:37 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the SPD lobby in reference to a theft report. A victim from the 100 block of West 10th Street stated someone stole their debit card and withdrew cash.

March 16

9:14 a.m.: Deputies were dispatched to the Pettis County R-XII School District, 22675 Depot Road in Dresden, for a child abuse report. The investigation continues.
