This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 14

6:16 a.m.: Brandon L. Koch, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested in the 700 block of East Fifth Street for third-degree domestic assault-aggravated. Officers responded to a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the people involved. It was determined they were known to each other and a primary physical aggressor was able to be determined. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

5:40 p.m.: Lindsay Deann Brown, 26, of the 2500 block of Margaret Avenue, was arrested in the 2200 block of South Grand Avenue for third-degree domestic assault. Officers responded to a disturbance. A female was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

March 17

11:14 p.m.: Fernando Mendez Jimenez, 33, of the 900 block of East 14th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Fourth Street and South Wagner Avenue for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license. An officer conducted a vehicle stop for a car with no plate lights. A Department of Revenue check showed he had no license. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail where he was booked and released.

March 18

1:07 a.m.: Cody Gage Evans, 24, of Marshall, was arrested in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard for driving while intoxicated (drugs). An officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle with defective tail lights and a license plate not properly affixed. The driver was found to be intoxicated by a combination of drugs and alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.

3:37 p.m.: Nikolay Zhelezoglo, 77, of the 900 block of Olsen Road, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for two counts of first-degree trespassing. An officer responded to a business for a subject trespassing. On arrival, the officer made contact with the subject. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

7:27 p.m.: Edy Lopez, 19, of the 900 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Prospect Avenue for operator’s license required and no proof of insurance. Officers responded to the 800 block of West 16th Street for a vehicle collision report. No injuries were reported. One of the drivers was arrested and taken to the SPD, where he was processed and released.

10:06 p.m.: Nathan Patrick Bone, 36, of the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. An officer conducted a vehicle stop for a driver who disobeyed a stop sign and nearly collided into the officer’s vehicle; the suspect vehicle also had expired temp tags. The driver was intoxicated and arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.

March 19

12:44 a.m.: Bradley A. Lee, 36, of the 500 block of East Harvey Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South New York Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant. Around 12:12 a.m., officers were investigating a possible shot fired near 15th Street and New York Avenue. While canvassing the area, two subjects were contacted near Broadway and New York. One of the subjects had a Green County warrant. During a search of his person, an item related to drug activity was found. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

12:59 a.m.: Dmitriy Makovsky, 30, of the 20000 block of Main Street Road, was arrested in the 100 block of East Broadway Boulevard for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. A car was stopped for moving violations and indicators of impaired driving. The driver was intoxicated and arrested. He was taken to the SPD for processing, where he refused to submit to a breath sample. A search warrant for his blood was executed at a hospital and blood was collected. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

2:20 p.m.: Lindsay Deann Brown, 26, of Smithton, was arrested in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for second-degree domestic assault and possession of a synthetic narcotic. Officers responded to a business for a disturbance report. An investigation led to the arrest of a female, who was taken to the Pettis County Jail.

7:21 p.m.: Cody Austin Harvey, 30, of the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested in the 1400 block of South Vermont Avenue for first-degree trespassing and second-degree property damage. Around 6:59 p.m., officers responded to the area for a burglary that was just occurring. A suspect description was obtained with the assistance of a security camera along with a direction of travel. K-9 Rocky was deployed and tracked to the south from the residence. During the track, the suspect was located a block to the south and was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail for processing. After an investigation at the scene, it was determined that entry into the residence was made by force, however, the suspect departed without stealing any items.

8:12 p.m.: Josue Daniel Aleman Ceron, 32, of the 1600 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Park Avenue for driving while intoxicated (alcohol). A truck was stopped for moving violations. The driver was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked.

Incidents

March 17

10:26 p.m.: A victim contacted the SPD regarding a theft from his vehicle in the 3100 block of Katy Trail Avenue. The victim reported a bag containing youth soccer equipment, valued at $500, had been stolen.

March 19

9 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1400 block of East 13th Street for a report of shots fired. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

March 20

12:15 a.m.: An officer responded to the 2500 block of Kay Avenue for a report of property damage. The victim reported an unknown subject threw alcohol bottles through the front window of their residence. A window and piece of furniture were damaged, valued at $350 total.
