This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 15

9:31 a.m.: Rebecca Dawn Smith, 56, of the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested after officers responded for a report of a domestic disturbance. Smith was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

9:41 p.m.: Edgar Cuc Cucul, 35, of the 400 block of East Jackson Street, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a careless driver on East 16th Street, then northbound on South New York Avenue. The vehicle was located at the driver's address, still running in the driveway. Cucul was recognized to be a subject with a revoked driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

May 15

8:31 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Pacific Street in reference to a property damage report. They made contact with the reporting party and gathered pictures and information for a report.

8:40 a.m.: An officer responded to the 700 block of West Seventh Street regarding a homemade electric bicycle that was stolen from the back of a pickup truck overnight.

9:43 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to West Spring Street and South Park Avenue for a powerline control box that was stolen from a pole.

7:08 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for illegal window tint and failure to maintain a lane on East Broadway Boulevard near South Wagner Avenue. A charge of illegal material on the front side windows has been requested for the driver.

7:16 p.m.: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a car near East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue for illegal window tint and failing to maintain a lane. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows has been requested.

7:30 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Broadway Boulevard near South Summit Avenue for illegal window tint. A charge for the driver of illegal material on the front side windows has been requested.

7:57 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle near East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue for illegal window tint. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows has been requested.

Arrests

May 15

7:46 a.m.: William E. Everett, 51, of La Monte, was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.
