This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 9

1:03 p.m.: Megan D. Wehrly, 34, of Warsaw, was arrested after officers talked with the suspect in the SPD lobby regarding a previous assault report. They transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending state charges of first-degree harassment and fourth-degree assault.

May 12

10:56 a.m.: Gabriel Arthur Leclaire, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers were called to a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of a disturbance. Leclaire was found to have been trespassing and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for first-degree trespassing.

May 14

9:33 a.m.: Lori A. Kalamon, 50, of the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, was cited after officers were dispatched to West Fourth Street and South Quincy Avenue for a reported animal running at large. Officers identified the owner of the animals and issued her a municipal summons for the offense.

6:39 p.m.: Ivy S. Dority, 29, of Warsaw, was arrested after a traffic stop into the Missouri State Fairground on a speeding vehicle. Dority had a revoked license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of failure to maintain financial responsibility, failure to register annually with the Department of Revenue, driving with a revoked license and speeding.

May 16

9:55 p.m.: Rene Teresa Esselman, 52, of the 2400 block of Plaza Avenue, was arrested after officers responded to the 1200 block of East Sixth Street for a potential domestic assault report that occurred earlier in the evening involving subjects who don't live at the address and were no longer on scene. Officers were able to locate the suspect and question her. It was determined that a domestic assault had occurred. Esselman was placed under arrest without incident, transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked pending a fourth-degree domestic assault charge.

10:33 p.m.: Marylynn Inez Miller, 19, of Warsaw, was arrested after being observed drifting from lane to lane without signaling near South Limit Avenue and Tiger Pride Boulevard. The driver was intoxicated by drugs and the driver and occupant, Mallory Marie Nelson, 18, of Warsaw, were in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (Percocet) and possession of drug paraphernalia. An additional charge of driving while intoxicated-drugs is being requested for Miller.

10:54 p.m.: Michael D. Runyan, 29, of Warsaw, was arrested after a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Thompson Avenue. Runyan had a revoked license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Incidents

May 16

7 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for illegal window tint near South Ohio Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard. The window tint measured 15%. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows has been requested on the driver.

7:27 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for illegal window tint near the 2500 block of West 32nd Street. The tint measured at 3%. A state charge has been requested for illegal material on the front side windows.

7:54 p.m.: A package was reported stolen from a front porch in the 1600 block of East Sixth Street. Officers gathered information for a report.
