This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 15

9:06 p.m.: Chelsea D. Younce, 34, of the 200 block of East 19th Street, was arrested after officers responded to the 2900 block of James Road in reference to an assault. The victim had been slapped by a woman known to them. Officers were able to make contact with Younce and issued her a municipal citation for assault.

May 16

7:26 a.m.: Jeronimo H. Castillo Vasquez, 33, of the 1300 block of East 16th Street, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near East Ninth Street and Thompson Avenue. Vasquez did not have a valid driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

9:47 p.m.: Gabriel Arthur Leclaire, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers were dispatched to West Main Street and South Missouri Avenue for a subject check. Leclaire was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of trespassing.

Incidents

May 15

11:52 p.m.: Officers were on patrol when they observed a man walking in the area of West 20th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. They attempted to get out with him but he fled the scene. A report was completed for documentation.

May 16

4:09 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of South Prospect Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Both parties had left but a female was located who said she'd been forcefully removed from the residence. A request for a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault has been submitted to the prosecutor.

May 17

12:32 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1100 block of East 10th Street in reference to a nuisance. The complainant said a white female subject was running around naked. Officers made contact with the naked female subject, who was highly intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold. No charges are being submitted.

1:25 a.m.: An officer took an animal abuse complaint in the police department lobby. A caller from the 300 block of West 10th Street said his dog had died and he suspected foul play. No arrests have been made at this time.

Arrests

May 17

6:03 a.m.: Marlon Beltran, 24, of Green Ridge, was arrested after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 127 and Highway Y on a vehicle traveling 105 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for exceeding the speed limit by over 26 miles per hour.
