This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 17

1:04 p.m.: Adriana R. Martin, 27, of Pilot Grove, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. Contact was made with the suspect and they were released with a court summons for shoplifting.

May 18

4:39 p.m.: Christina Marie Karman, 45, of the 600 block of Manor Court, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. Officers apprehended Karman after she was caught stealing from the business and placed her under arrest. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

May 9

4:49 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Vermont Avenue in reference to an attempted vehicle theft.

May 10

3:58 p.m.: A man came into the SPD lobby to report his identity was stolen.

May 13

11:05 a.m.: A man came into the SPD lobby to report three lime green cases fell off the back of his work truck near the intersection of West Third and South Quincy Avenue and someone picked them up. The items have been listed as stolen.

May 17

1:45 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. A suspect was intercepted trying to leave after concealing items. They fled prior to law enforcement's arrival but had been trespassed from all of the business’ locations previously. State charges of burglary and stealing are being submitted.

May 18

1 a.m.: Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center emergency room in reference to a dog bite. They spoke with a reporting party who said she was bit by a stray dog in the 1200 block of South Quincy Avenue.

12:18 p.m.: Officers took a report of a theft that occurred at a business in the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The reporting party said a man stole a cup and a flashlight.

11:18 p.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fourth Street regarding property damage. The victim said rocks were thrown through her window, causing damage. There were two juveniles near where the rocks were thrown. A possible suspect has been identified but no contact has been made.

11:50 p.m.: Officers responded to the Bothwell emergency room in reference to a dog bite. They collected information and a report was generated.

May 19

6:31 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fourth Street regarding a property damage report. The reporting party said at some point during the day, their vehicle window was shattered. Officers collected information for a report.

8:14 p.m.:Officers responded to the 1900 block of West 10th Street in reference to harassment. The victim said they were being blackmailed. An investigation is ongoing and a suspect has not been identified.

9:50 p.m.: An officer took a theft report in the 300 block of West Fifth Street. The caller said someone had gone through their unlocked car overnight and stolen almost $500 in items. There are no suspects.

9:52 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The suspect concealed items in the store and left prior to law enforcement's arrival.

Arrests

May 17

6:07 p.m.: David A. Parish, 31, of New Franklin, was arrested in Morgan County for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He was released with a summons.

May 18

12:03 a.m.: Deborah A. Culliver, 62, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Knob Noster Police Department and released.

11:53 p.m.: Moises Chavez Alejo, 32, of Austin, Minnesota, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and no valid driver's license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
