Arrests

May 22

11:26 a.m.: Darnell Johnson, 39, of the 900 block of West Fifth Street, was arrested after an officer initiated a traffic stop near North Grand Avenue and West Pettis Street because they recognized the driver as being suspended. Johnson was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked, and released for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

May 22

6:33 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South Marshall Avenue for a physical disturbance. Victims stated they were assaulted by a known subject. Officers attempted to locate the subject but were unable. Charges are being requested.

8:39 a.m.: Officers responded to the 100 block of Autumn Avenue for a suicidal subject. They came into contact with the man with a knife held at his neck, threatening to kill himself. Officers deployed a taser and pepper ball platforms and the subject dropped the knife. He was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center emergency room.

9:23 p.m.: Sedalia police took a report of stolen medication in the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue. The victim said someone stole multiple prescription medications from the residence.

Arrests

May 22

8:48 p.m.: Matthew R. Garbarz, 21, of Tipton, was arrested in Pettis County for felony resisting and interfering with an arrest by fleeing and driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

8:48 p.m.: Brandon R. Morrison, 20, of Tipton, was arrested in Pettis County for being a minor in possession of alcohol - visibly intoxicated. He was processed and released.
