This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 24

2:05 p.m.: Erin A. Mitchell, 40, of Lexington, Kentucky, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for stealing. Officers were dispatched to a business for a theft report.

May 25

1:57 p.m.: Ashley Ann Stoney, 39, of the 4900 block of Vernon Road, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for first-degree burglary and stealing. Officers were dispatched to a business for a shoplifting report. Officers gathered information and documentation from employees and the suspect was arrested.

8:15 p.m.: Kenneth Donavan Dobson, 20, of the 700 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested in the 1200 block of West Third Street for resisting arrest and first-degree trespassing. Sedalia officers, Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to a disturbance involving a weapon in the 1200 block of West Third Street. Officers arrived and observed two males fleeing the area on foot. One was quickly detained by officers near Liberty Stadium and Liberty Park Boulevard. The other continued to flee and was taken into custody near Third Street and Carr Avenue.

11:03 p.m.: Marco Martinez, 18, of the 600 block of Wilkerson Street, was arrested near West Third Street and South Limit Avenue for driving while intoxicated and operator’s license required. An officer stopped a vehicle for disobeying a stop sign and investigation of a driver without a license. The subject was intoxicated and had no license. He was booked pending release to a sober person.

May 26

12:17 a.m.: Dustin E. Galloway, 41, of the 300 block of North Stewart Avenue, was arrested near West Main Street and West Avenue for driving with a suspended license. A traffic stop was conducted and during the investigation, it was found the driver had a suspended license. He was arrested, transported to the SPD, processed and released with a summons.

12:46 a.m.: Diego Aguare Tiu, 25, of the 1700 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South State Fair Boulevard for driving while intoxicated and operator’s license required. An officer stopped a vehicle for several moving violations and suspicion of DWI. The driver was intoxicated and did not have a license. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

3:52 a.m.: Chase Gordon Sorensen, 42, of Denver, Missouri, was arrested in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for felony driving while intoxicated. An officer responded to a business for a vehicle in the nearby grass with an unconscious subject in the passenger seat. It was determined the subject was intoxicated and crashed his vehicle. He was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold.

10:12 p.m.: Bryan A. Ivie, 36, of Stover, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for stealing. Officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect and employees. The suspect was arrested and later released with a city summons.

Incidents

May 21

3:43 p.m.: An officer took a report in the SPD lobby from a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue reporting an employee stole money from the company.

May 24

7:40 a.m.: Officers took a report in the SPD lobby for a missing person from the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court. Officers gathered information and documentation from the reporting party. A report was made and the missing person was entered into NCIC.

5:16 p.m.: A victim came to the SPD lobby to report her vehicle had been stolen in the 1100 block of Wilkerson Street in late April. There is a known suspect.

11:30 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at West 14th Street and South Limit Avenue for illegal window tint and illegal tint on the front windshield. It measured 13%. The driver did not have insurance. State charges of illegal material on the front side windows and windshield and no insurance were requested.

May 25

8:42 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of South Grand Avenue for a destruction of property report.

7:28 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue for illegal window tint. It measured 16%. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows was requested.

7:42 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at East Broadway Boulevard and South Arlington Avenue for illegal window tint and an expired license plate. It measured 24%. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows was requested.

7:55 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at East Broadway Boulevard and Highway M for illegal window tint and speeding 47 mph in a 40 mph zone. The front side window tint measured 5%. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows was requested.

8:28 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at East Broadway Boulevard and South Brown Avenue for illegal window and front windshield tint. The windshield was completely tinted and the front windows measured 13%. A state charge of illegal material on the front side windows and windshield was requested.

May 26

4:40 a.m.: Officers took a stolen vehicle report near South Summit Avenue and East 10th Street over the phone. The victim said a subject known to him potentially stole his vehicle on May 25. A report was taken and the vehicle was entered as stolen.

May 28

12:55 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a patient involved in an altercation with Bothwell security. Officers collected the necessary information to generate a report.
