This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 7

10:38 p.m.: Alonso J.A. Mercado, 36, of the 1200 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding near East Broadway and South Engineer Avenue. He presented a fake Missouri ID and a Social Security card that was not his. A search of the vehicle found a Mexican ID he said was his true identity. He was booked and released from the Pettis County Jail for forgery, identity theft and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Nov. 8

12:12 a.m.: Cody A. Stokes, 27, of the 1000 block of South Sneed Avenue, was arrested after being observed following a vehicle too closely near South Limit Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard. Stokes was intoxicated and was transported to the police department, issued a citation for driving while intoxicated and released.

Nov. 9

4:46 p.m.: William S. Gudde, 30, of the 22000 block of Glazebrook Road, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop at South Limit Avenue and West Fifth Street. Gudde had a suspended driver’s license and was issued a municipal citation and released.

Incidents

Nov. 6

8:48 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the Central Missouri Community Credit Union for a report of counterfeit $100 bills. Information was gathered from the institution and the individual involved for a report.

Nov. 7

11:08 a.m.: Officers responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center regarding a past incident of trespassing. Bothwell security said one male subject needed to be trespassed from the hospital unless he was receiving care. A report was submitted.

Nov. 8

7:44 p.m.: Officers conducted a wellness check in the 1300 block of East 19th Street on an individual who had been drinking and had not taken their prescribed medication.
