Sedalia Photo Club
The Sedalia Photo Club held its annual combined club meeting at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 17, at the Heckart Community Center.
Karin Poppe, president of the Mid-MO Photo Club, talked about the Cole Camp based club. The club is currently holding hybrid meetings (zoom and in person meetings). On August 1st, there will be a fundraiser breakfast for the Cole Camp Fair. This will be held from 6:30a.m. until 9:00a.m. in the Cole Camp American Legion Basement. A free will donation will be collected.
Karin Poppe stated that the Mid-MO Photo Club will sponsor the Cole Camp Fair Photo Contest. The dates are September 10-12, with the check-in on the 9th and 10th. The major change in photo categories will be the split in animal category for adult photographers. One animal category will include photos of animals with fur or hair. NO spiders. The other animal category will be for photos of other animals (feathers, fins, arachnids, scales, insects).
Ron Gillig reported on the Camp Valor Outdoors Photography Group. They meet online and are based in Kingsville, MO.
Carolyn Bauer, Treasurer of the Sedalia Photo Club, reported on photo opportunities and contests.
Photos were hung in the hallway of the Heckart Community Center for the annual photo display. Scott Anderson created a lovely display on a table, including a video display on a TV screen.
