The Sedalia Area Farmers’ Market (SAFM) will temporarily relocate to beautiful, historic downtown Sedalia during the Missouri State Fair.
The market will move from its usual home on the Missouri State Fairgrounds to Ohio Avenue outside Ozark Coffee Company between 6th and 7th Streets. The market will be open downtown on Friday Aug.14, Tuesday Aug.18 and Friday Aug.21, from 3-6pm. It will return to the fairgrounds, in the Nucor Pavilion, on Friday, Aug. 28, where it will only be open on Fridays through October 30.
Market manager Tegan Tucker says “We will have the freshest local fruits, veggies, meats, eggs, baked goods, and more. The parking is plentiful and gives easy access to the market, so we hope all our market regulars, as well as campers and day-trippers visiting for the fair, will continue to support our local vendors. We also want to extend our gratitude to BTC Bank of Sedalia for sponsoring our temporary move this year!”
Additionally, guitarists and vocalists will be performing in the patio area.
The market accepts cash, debit, credit and SNAP/EBT. SAFM continues to offer matching dollars for SNAP/EBT transactions. Each SNAP transaction is matched up to $25 per market visit through Aug. 31. Details are available at the green market tent.
