The Sedalia/Pettis County NAACP will offer one scholarship of $500 to a student who the organization believes is deserving of its help to further his or her education.
The scholarship will be given to a student who is enrolled in college or post-secondary vocational school classes for the 2021-22 academic year in a not-for-profit college or university. The applicant may be a newly enrolled freshman, a returning student, or a graduate student. The scholarship is open to applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religious preference, or age.
To receive an application, email Dr. Rhonda Chalfant, President of the Sedalia/Pettis County Branch NAACP, at chalfant@iland.net. Completed applications must be received by June 21. The winner will be notified no later than June 30.
