Posted

State Fair Community College will host its third free “FAFSA Frenzy” event Jan. 20 to help Missouri students complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for grants, loans, work-study and scholarships from federal, state or institutional financial aid programs.

The session will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Jan. 20. Contact Financial Aid and Veteran Services at finaid@sfccmo.edu or 660-530-5834 to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment. People who choose an in-person meeting are allowed to bring one guest and must wear face coverings. Those scheduling a virtual appointment will need to have the capability to join a Zoom meeting with video.

Financial aid professionals will assist participants in completing the 2021-22 FAFSA and provide pertinent information about federal and state funding and scholarships.

Students attending a Missouri FAFSA Frenzy event can register to win a $500 Journey to College Book Scholarship if they have plans to enroll in a Missouri college or university in fall 2021. Twenty scholarships will be awarded.

For more information, contact Dawn Hines, Financial Aid advisor, at dyoung8@sfccmo.edu or 660-596-7358. For a complete listing of FAFSA Frenzy events, visit http://bit.ly/3ozIgfa.
