Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Twenter, of Sedalia, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Jan. 10.
Patricia White and Ruben Twenter were married Jan. 10, 1952, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Mr. Twenter is retired from County Distributing Co. and Mrs. Twenter, who was a homemaker, is also retired.
The couple have seven children, Sarah (Bob) Storey, of Omaha, Nebraska, Susan (Jim) Van Horn, of Sedalia, Philip Twenter, of Sedalia, Jackie (Mike) Stratton, of Sedalia, the late Chris Twenter (widow Sue Twenter, of Lee's Summit) and the late Timothy Twenter and Cynthia Twenter; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
A surprise reception hosted by the couple's children occurred Dec. 28, 2021, at the Sedalia Country Club. The couple request no gifts.
