This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Nov. 9

4:30 a.m.: Alexsander Pavelovich Gritsishin, 33, of Otterville, received a municipal court summons for a charge of stealing. Officers were dispatched to a store in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a theft report. The suspect left before officers arrived, but they were able to locate him. After making contact with him, they issued a municipal court summons and released him from the scene.

Nov. 11

8:25 p.m.: Marion Nelson Groce, 46, of the 300 block of Boonville Street, was arrested on a charge of first-degree trespassing. Officers were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center in reference to a subject refusing to leave the emergency room after causing a disturbance and throwing items. They found the subject, Groce, in the emergency room and took him into custody.

11:25 p.m.: Savannah Angela Bellamy, 23, of the 1200 block of South Moniteau Avenue, was arrested on a felony charge of third-degree domestic assault. Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Moniteau Avenue for a reported domestic disturbance. Investigation reportedly revealed one of the parties had physically attacked the other. They placed the suspect, Bellamy, under arrest.

Incidents

Nov. 10

6:05 p.m.: Officers took a harassment report in the police station lobby. A subject had been sending threatening messages to the victim. Officers haven’t located the suspect at the time of the report, but they have submitted the case to the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nov. 11

9:20 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim said he was standing on the sidewalk in the area of West 11th Street and South Vermont Avenue when he heard a loud noise. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and later transferred to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. At the time of the report, the victim wasn’t able to identify the suspect.

Nov. 12

7:30 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business the 2900 block of South Limit Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant said someone took a white 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD truck from the parking lot sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. At the time of the report, officers hadn’t located the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.

Nov. 12

1:55 p.m.: Adam S. Casada, 27, of Jefferson City was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
