Holden teen hurt in Johnson County accident

A 17-year-old female, of Holden, received minor injuries at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2008 Ford Explorer west on U.S. Highway 50 when she traveled off the right side left side of the roadway, struck a ditch, became airborne, crossed the median and struck another ditch.

She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by private conveyance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Two from Sweet Springs hurt in Saline accident

Lacrissia M. Garrison, 33, of Sweet Springs, sustained minor injuries, and a 12-year-old girl, also of Sweet Springs, sustained minor injuries at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Tisha L. Summers, 45, of Marshall north on Missouri Highway 41 was attempting to make a turn and was struck in the rear by a northbound 2017 Nissan Sentra driven by Garrison.

Garrison and the teen were wearing seat belts, and were transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Saline County EMS.
