Warsaw man injured in I-65 rollover

Larry L. Darnell, 66, of Warsaw, suffered moderate injuries at 10:05 a.m. Friday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Darnell was driving a 2012 Ford F-350 south on U.S. Highway 65, south of Marina Road, when he crossed the median and northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 65. His vehicle continued off the east side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned.

Darnell was wearing a seat belt and was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

Lexington man hurt in Benton County accident

Gary T. Rockwood, 68, of Lexington, suffered minor injuries at 8:10 p.m. Friday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jason R. Roberts, 19, of Warsaw, was driving a 2008 Ford Focus north on Highway 65 at Lickingteller Avenue and swerved to miss a deer. A 2020 Chevrolet Trax driven north by Rockwood struck the Focus in the side.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Rockwood was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District.

Ewing man hurt in Benton accident

John B. O'Brien, 69, of Ewing, suffered minor injuries at 7:05 a.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, O'Brien was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra south on state Route 83, south of Route EE, when he traveled off the right side of the road, striking a ditch and a tree.

O'Brien was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District.

Holden woman hurt in Johnson County accident

Lynn A. Hufft, 73, of Holden, suffered minor injuries at 8:17 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hufft was driving a 2007 Cadillac DTS south on private property in the 200 block of Southwest Highway 58 when she traveled into a ditch and the vehicle overturned.

Hufft was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Three hurt in Morgan County rollover

Elvin L. Hoover, 40, of Versailles, suffered moderate injury, and two 14-year-old male occupants, also from Versailles, suffered minor injuries at 9:25 a.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hoover was driving a 2016 Kenworth T880 south on Route J, south of Tierra Lane, when he exited the right side of the roadway. He over-corrected, causing the vehicle to return to the roadway, cross the centerline, overturn and exit the left side of the roadway.

Hoover was not wearing a seat belt, though the juveniles were restrained. Everyone was transported to Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City by Mid-MO Ambulance District.

16-year-old injured in Morgan County accident

A teen girl from Barnett suffered moderate injuries at 12:50 p.m. Saturday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Darla L. Warfield, 67, of Barnett, was driving a 2005 Nissan Sentra north on Golden Beach Road and exited the right side of the road. The driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to return to the roadway, cross the centerline, overturn and exit the right side of the roadway, striking a tree.

Both occupants were wearing a seat belt. The young girl was transported to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City by Mid-MO Ambulance District.

Stover woman seriously injured in collision with semi

Autumn M. Gilpin, 55, of Stover, suffered serious injuries at 10:35 a.m. Thursday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kelly L. Peaster, 37, of Cole Camp, was driving a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer east in the westbound lanes. Gilpin was traveling west in a 2006 Chevrolet HHR and tried to swerve to avoid being struck but was unsuccessful and was hit nearly head-on by the tractor-trailer. The vehicles traveled off the north side of the road.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Gilpin was transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
