Versailles man seriously injured in Morgan motorcycle accident

Lucas M. Hayden, 22, of Versailles, was seriously injured at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Hayden was driving west on Route 52 near Rockland Road on a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle when he lost control and traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned and struck a fence.

Hayden was wearing a motorcycle helmet and was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Three men injured in Saline accident

Steven W. Standley, 51, of Chillicothe, Paul E. Standley, 76, of Tina, and Herbert H. Richtermeyer, 92, of Grand Pass, all received moderate injuries at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday in a Saline County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Richtermeyer was headed south on U.S. 65 at Holiday Drive in a 2011 Cadillac when he attempted to make a left-hand turn into a private drive and traveled into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet driven by Stephen Standley. The vehicles struck head-on and came to rest blocking the roadway.

All three men were wearing a seat belt. The Standley’s were taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle. Richtermeyer was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Saline County Ambulance District.
