This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 23

12:10 p.m.: Austin A. Boatcher, 27, and Mikayla K Droge, 24, of the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue, were arrested after his dog was found running at large. They were unable to provide current rabies vaccinations or city licenses for any of the dogs and were issued citations for animals at large, license required, and vaccination required.

April 25

Noon: Consuela M. Brey, 42, of the 800 block of East 14th Street, was arrested for animal running at large. Bray was unable to provide current rabies vaccination or a city license for one of the dogs and was issued citations for animal running at large, license required and vaccination required.

May 6

10:53 p.m.: Jessica Lee Reed, 27, of the 1300 block of East Seventh Street, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Seventh Street and South Osage Avenue for a brake light out and expired plates. The driver was intoxicated by drugs and methamphetamine was located between driver and passenger. The passenger also had time to conceal drugs in the truck. Both were arrested and transported to the jail. The driver was booked and released for driving while intoxicated-drugs. Possession of a controlled substance is being requested for the passenger, Johnny Joe Renno, 55, of Hughesville, who was placed on a 24-hour hold.

May 7

12:15 a.m.: Cody Austin Harvey, 31, of the 1500 block of South Vermont Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched to Vermont Park regarding a previous assault. At the conclusion of the investigation, officers issued a municipal summons for assault and released subjects on scene.

7:17 p.m.: Hannah Cassels Meyer, 27, of the 800 block of Manor Court, was arrested after being observed with illegal window tint and speeding. After a vehicle stop near East Seventh Street and South Engineer Avenue, Meyer was arrested and released on scene for illegal window tint.

7:47 p.m.: Andrey Kazakov, 29, of Green Ridge, was arrested after a vehicle stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue for illegal window tint and no license plate. He was released for a pending charge of illegal material applied to the front-side window.

8 p.m.: Maksym Zoshchuk, 42, of the 1500 block of 40th Terrace, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue for illegal window tint and a rear plate with two different year stickers. The window tint metered at 16% and Zoshchuk was released on scene. State charges have been requested for illegal material on the front-side windows and no child restraint.

8:17 p.m.: Vladm Shmyga, 18, of the 600 block of South Barrett Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue for illegal window tint. The tint measured 4% at the front-side window. The driver was arrested and released for illegal material on the front-side windows.

8:44 p.m.: Joshua John Curry, 29, of the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard, was arrested after a vehicle stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Emmett Avenue for illegal window tint. The front-side windows measured 16% tint. Curry was released at the scene. A state charge of legal material on the front-side windows has been requested.

May 8

12:02 a.m.: Oleg A. Mironov, 29, of the 2400 block of South Haven Drive, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop for no license plate lights. Mironov had a revoked driving status and was arrested. He denied consent to search the vehicle and K9 Rocky was deployed. Mironov was arrested for driving with a suspended license, drug possession, no proof of insurance and failure to maintain financial responsibility. Josey Dayle Mironov, 26, of Green Ridge, was also arrested for drug possession, transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

3:29 a.m.: Samuel J. Blanchard, 58, of the 400 block of Albright Court, was arrested after a vehicle was observed near Marshall Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard crossing outside the dashed white line. The vehicle also had illegal window tint and the driver had a Boone County warrant. Blanchard was arrested for the warrant and operating a motor vehicle with vision-reducing material applied. The passenger, Marcus Mantrell McKnight, had five failure-to-appear Sedalia warrants and was in possession of a controlled substance. McKnight was arrested for the warrants, possession of a controlled substance, and introduction of drugs to a jail facility.

Incidents

April 23

11:42 a.m.: Officers responded to the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard regarding a theft. The reporting party said a man had taken her wallet and the contents. The man reported he did not take the wallet and was assaulted by the reporting party. A report was taken and charges regarding the incident were submitted.

May 7

9:41 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to South Mill Street and East Third Street for a report of property damage. They spoke with the reporting party and gathered information for a report.

9:07 p.m.: Officers responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a physical disturbance in progress. A patient became combative with staff and security before being restrained. Multiple staff members were assaulted and charges are being pursued.

May 7

10:33 a.m.: Lisa M. Brooks, 41, of Eldon, was arrested in Morgan County for felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
