Iowa man hurt in Benton County motorcycle accident

Joshua D. Baity, 48, of Iowa, suffered minor injuries at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Baity was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson south on Route H when he lost control on wet pavement, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

He was wearing a helmet and was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Urich woman injured in Henry crash

Elizabeth C. Lakomy, 74, of Urich, sustained moderate injuries at 5:36 a.m. Wednesday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Chanse M. Millam, 35, of Blairstown, was westbound on state Route 7 and struck the rear of Lakomy’s 2015 Nissan Rogue, which traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The Cruze then traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Lakomy was transported by Golden Valley Ambulance District to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton.

Warrensburg man injured when car hydroplanes

Joel C. Jameson, 56, of Warrensburg, suffered moderate injuries at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jameson was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra west on U.S. Highway 50 when his vehicle hydroplaned, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

He was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
