Three in serious condition after Benton County UTV accident

Catherine A. Schembri, 66, of Warsaw; Kimberly A. Taylor, 66, of Parkville; and Salvatore G. Schembri, 67, of Warsaw, sustained serious injuries at 5:21 p.m. Sunday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Salvatore Schembri was driving a Kubota UTV east on High Ridge Drive and was backing up when he went over a ledge, landing in the water.

None of the occupants were wearing a seat belt. They were transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia.

Warrensburg man injured in Johnson County accident

Jason M. Caldwell, 38, of Warrensburg, suffered moderate injuries at 9:38 a.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Caldwell was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado north on Route 13 and was stopped in traffic when he was rear-ended by a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Lowell Grumke, 57, of Higginsville.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Caldwell was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Motorcyclist in serious condition after Johnson County accident

Ronald L. Cunningham, 78, of Raymore, sustained serious injuries at 12:19 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Cunningham was driving a 1988 Honda motorcycle south on Route T when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch before overturning.

He was wearing a helmet and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Three injured in Pettis County crash

Michael J. Smith, 20, of Wrentham, Massachusetts, and Colin J. Kemper, 55, of Lakewood, Colorado, sustained moderate injuries and Janet L. Kemper, 53, of Lakewood, Colorado, sustained serious injuries at 11:58 a.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Colin Kemper was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado north on Route M when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert and a tree.

Only Janet Kemper was not wearing a seat belt; she was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia. Colin Kemper and Smith were transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
