Climax Springs man hurt in Benton accident

Clint A. Lakey, 24, of Climax Springs, suffered minor injuries at 4:10 p.m. Saturday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lakey was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu south on Route DD, south of Butter Hollow Road, when he failed to navigate a turn in the road. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a fence and a tree.

It was unknown if Lakey was wearing a seat belt. He was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Arkansas man hurt in Henry County accident

Jacob Maxwell, 47, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, suffered minor injuries Friday at 5:30 p.m. in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Maxwell was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 south on Highway 7 at Urich when he crossed the median and the northbound lanes and his vehicle struck an embankment.

Maxwell was arrested for driving while intoxicated and released for care at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Lincoln woman hurt in Henry County deer strike

Shelly R. Lutjen, 37, of Lincoln, suffered minor injuries at 6:40 p.m. Sunday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lutjen was driving a 2022 Chevrolet TrailBlazer west on state Route 7 at Route AA when she struck a deer.

Lutjen was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Bates City man injured in Johnson County accident

John K. Knox, 47, of Bates City, suffered moderate injuries at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Christopher G. Dady, 53, of Oak Grove, was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 and was towing a 2000 Ford Excursion with a tow strap. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and traveled into the intersection of Northwest 450th Road and Route W. A 1991 Chevrolet S10 driven by Frederick K. Graham, 60, of Kingsville, south on Route W struck the passenger side of the vehicle being towed.

Knox was an occupant in the Chevrolet and, like everyone else involved, was wearing a seat belt. He was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.

Smithton man hurt in Pettis accident

Benjamin V. Karpenhcuk, 25, of Smithton, suffered moderate injuries at 2:40 p.m. Saturday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Karpenchuk was driving a 2013 Toyota Prius north on Birdsong Road, north of Boonville Road, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle then struck a ditch and a tree.

Karpenchuk was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and was released for care. He was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia. He was not wearing a seat belt.
