Two injured in Morgan crash

Two people sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 6:18 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Anna M. Wood, 67, of Stover, was driving a 1996 Buick LeSabre north on state Route 135, 1,399 feet south of Cottonwood Road, when she crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Frederick L. Riddle, 62, of Wheatland.

Riddle was wearing a seat belt but Wood was not. Both were taken by the Mid-MO Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Hughesville man arrested for DWI

A Hughesville man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 10:53 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in Cooper County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Timothy T. Rehmer, 20, was driving a 2018 Honda Civic east on Route E at state Route 5 when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the side of the road and struck an embankment.

A passenger, 24-year-old Cody A. Good, of Otterville, was taken by the Cooper County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for moderate injuries.

Rehmer and Good were both wearing seat belts.

Rehmer was arrested for DWI, minor visibly intoxicated, and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash. He was taken to the Cooper County Detention Center.

The MSHP was assisted by the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office.

Man injured in Saline accident

A Blue Springs man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 2:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Steven Medina, 33, of Hanover Park, Illinois, was driving a 2017 Ford Fiesta east on I-70 at the 69.2 mile marker when he changed lanes and struck an eastbound 2014 Ford Fiesta driven by 55-year-old Daniel Sappington. It caused Sappington’s vehicle to travel off the right side of the road and overturn.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt. Sappington was taken by Sweet Springs Ambulance District to University Hospital in Columbia.

Woman hurt in Christmas crash

A Warsaw woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 5:38 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25 in Benton County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kimberly D. Schnieders, 33, was driving a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica north on Route MM, south of Clearwater Road, when she was turning into a private drive. Her vehicle was struck in the rear by a northbound 2013 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 38-year-old Colby E. Vansell, of Warsaw.

It is unknown if Schnieders was wearing a seat belt, and Vansell was not wearing a seat belt. Schnieders was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

The MSHP was assisted by the Benton County Sheriff’s Department.
