A Lincoln man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 6:11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lawrence O. Harms, 87, was driving a 2010 Chrysler south on U.S. Highway 65 at state Route 52 and entered the highway the wrong way. He struck a northbound vehicle, a 2016 Freightliner driven by 24-year-old Mandeep Singh, of Bakersfield, California, head-on.
Singh was wearing a seat belt, but it is unknown if Harms was wearing one. Harms was taken by air ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
The MSHP was assisted by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
