Man injured in three-vehicle collision

Three vehicles collided at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Moniteau County, causing injury to one of the drivers.

The accident began as Thomas C. Harrison, 69, of Jamestown, crossed the center line on northbound state Route 179 a mile south of Jamestown, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Harrison struck Thomas A. Brown, 34, of Jamestown, who was driving south on the opposite side of the road. The impact caused Brown’s vehicle to slide across the center line and hit a northbound vehicle driven by Ronnie G. Thompson, 62, of Jamestown.

Thompson was the only person hurt in the collision, suffering moderate injuries. The Mid-MO Ambulance District took him to Jefferson City where he received treatment at Capital Region Medical Center.

All three drivers were wearing seat belts during the accident.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
