Tipton man killed in US 50 crash
Robert F. Loftus, 47, of Tipton, was killed at 11:50 p.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Loftus was driving a 2009 Ford Focus east on U.S. Highway 50 at Missouri Highway 5 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle struck an embankment, went airborne, and overturned.
Loftus was wearing a seat belt.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Morgan County Coroner M.B Jones.
