Anna M. Leinbach, 53, of Barnett, was killed and John A. Leinbach, 51, of Barnett, sustained moderate injuries at 1:20 p.m. Monday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John Leinbach was driving a horse-drawn buggy west on Route C when he was struck in the rear by a 2016 Jeep Compass driven by Dorothy J. Griggs, 74, of Eldon. The buggy then traveled off the right side of the road, ejecting both occupants.
Anna Leinbach was pronounced dead on the scene by Morgan County Coroner Dr. M.B. Jones. John Leinbach was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
It is unknown if either occupant was wearing a seat belt.
